How to Take Branding Photos Safely During COVID-19

I’ve been taking branding photographs for a long time. It’s my job. I quarantined like everyone else, but when it was time to get back to work my team needed to find a way to make it happen. Demand for photography may actually increase during times like pandemic because many businesses turn inward to focus on their marketing strategy to drive new lines of business. It’s a smart thing to do, and so is a partnership with Kristina Maness Photography. So, how do we do it safely? Stay tuned:

Wear a mask, double mask, or face shield

A mask, double mask, face shield, or combination of these things, can greatly reduce the risk of getting COVID-19. Here’s some information on masking from the FDA website, “Masks may help prevent people who have COVID-19 from spreading the virus to others. The CDC recommends people wear face masks in public settings, especially when other social distancing measures are difficult to maintain. Wearing a face mask may limit exposure to respiratory droplets and large particles and may help prevent people who have COVID-19 from spreading the virus.”

Social distance at 6 feet or more when possible

While Florida’s mask mandates may be spotty, we are committed to ensuring CDC safety standards are met. That’s why in addition to masking, we take as many shots as possible from a distance of greater than six feet, and I only get as close as you are comfortable with.

Take your photos outside

Masks and social distancing are top ways to prevent the spread of COVID, but we can do more. We can shoot at an outdoor location of your choosing that best illustrates your brand and values. While I do offer studio shoots, which are particularly good for headshots and product photography, the great outdoors can also make for a wonderful professional headshot or branding photo. This, when combined with social distancing and face coverings is a plan for branding success and good health!

Have a professional makeup artist

I always bring in a professional to do your makeup. A cosmetologist understands how to clean and sterilize makeup and brushes between sessions, as well as the importance of clean brushes and wearing a mask for close contact.

These are all the ways I invest in keeping you safe during COVID-19. I’m committed to ensuring your health and safety. If you’ve been thinking about a branding session, now is the time. Contact Kristina Maness Photography today.
